Shipping, Delivery & Pickup Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

Fantasy Lab Studios designs and fabricates custom pieces: sculptures, props, displays, signage and installations. Almost everything we make is built to order, so this policy is different from a typical online store. It explains how completed projects are picked up, delivered, shipped and stored. The details for each project are confirmed in its quote, proposal or written agreement.

Production time and transit time

Production time is the time needed to design, fabricate and finish your project. Transit time is the time needed to get it to you once it is complete. They are separate. Your production schedule is confirmed in your quote or project agreement. Transit time depends on the delivery method, distance and carrier availability. Please share your event or installation date early so we can plan both.

Scheduled customer pickup

Customer pickup is available from our studio in Davie, Florida, by appointment. We'll contact you when your project is ready so you can schedule a pickup time. Projects are released to the customer or to a representative you name in advance.

Transportation and securing items

If you or your carrier collect a project, please bring a vehicle suited to the size and weight of the piece, enough people to load it safely, and straps, blankets or padding to secure it. Our team will help guide loading where practical. Once items are loaded into your vehicle, responsibility for them passes to you. If a vehicle does not appear suitable for safe transport, we may recommend rescheduling or arranging delivery instead.

Local delivery in South Florida

We deliver throughout South Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Delivery is quoted separately unless your quote lists it as included. Pricing depends on distance, the size and weight of the project, site access, timing and the crew required.

Installation

Installation is not automatically included with delivery. If your project needs installation, assembly, anchoring or on-site finishing, it will be listed and priced in your quote. Please confirm site access, load-in times, venue requirements and any permits or approvals needed at the location before the delivery date.

Freight and nationwide shipping

We ship projects within Florida and nationwide. Depending on size, weight, fragility and timing, a shipment may travel by parcel carrier, LTL (less-than-truckload) freight, dedicated truck, box truck or specialty transport. We'll recommend the most suitable method and include it in your quote.

Packaging and crating

Many custom pieces need custom packaging, protective foam or wooden crating to travel safely. Where needed, packaging and crating are quoted as part of the project. Crating can add to the shipping size and weight.

Customer-arranged freight

You may arrange your own carrier. If you do, please send us the carrier name, pickup date and any reference numbers in advance, and confirm that the carrier can handle the size and weight of the shipment. Once a project is released to a carrier you arranged, transit, insurance and any claims are between you and that carrier.

Delivery information

Please give us accurate delivery details: the full address, an on-site contact name and phone number, receiving hours, dock or loading information, and any access limits such as stairs, elevators, gate codes or venue load-in rules. Missing or incorrect details can affect the delivery schedule and cost.

Missed deliveries and redelivery

If a scheduled delivery can't be completed because no one is available to receive it, the site isn't accessible, or the delivery details were incorrect, a redelivery fee or additional carrier charges may apply. We'll work with you to reschedule as quickly as possible.

Receiving and inspection

Please inspect your project when it arrives and before signing for it. For freight deliveries, check the packaging and the contents for visible damage while the driver is still present.

Freight damage and carrier claims

If you see damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing, photograph the packaging and the item, keep all packaging, and contact us as soon as possible. Carriers usually set short deadlines for reporting damage, so prompt notice matters. Where we arranged the shipment, we'll help you file and follow up on a claim with the carrier, and we'll discuss repair or replacement options with you.

Storage of completed projects

We'll let you know when your project is complete. Projects should be picked up or delivered within the timeframe agreed in your quote. If a completed project needs to be held longer, storage fees may apply, and we'll discuss them with you before any are charged.

Oversized and fragile projects

Large, heavy or fragile pieces may need special handling, such as extra crew, lifting equipment, sectional construction, custom crating or a dedicated vehicle. We'll identify these needs when quoting. Some pieces are designed to travel in sections and be assembled on site.

International shipping

International shipments are arranged case by case. Please contact us with the destination and timing before ordering.

Customs, duties and import taxes

For international shipments, the customer is responsible for customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees and any documents required by the destination country, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Project-specific terms

Every project is different. Where the quote, proposal or written agreement for your project differs from this general policy, the project terms apply.
